NORWELL HOUSING AUTHORITY SELECTS CURAFLO® ENGINEERED FLOW LINING SYSTEM

Proprietary System Proves Faster and Less Costly Than Traditional Repiping Methods

BEACHWOOD, OHIO – CuraFlo®, a division of Cohesant, Inc. and a leading provider of pipe restoration services for multi-tenant buildings and other commercial and institutional structures, was selected by the Norwell Massachusetts Housing Authority (NHA) to install its proprietary CuraFlo Engineered Flow Lining System® in one of 10 NHA independent living facilities.

NHA officials recently solicited bids to revitalize the plumbing infrastructure after discovering multiple pinhole leaks in its hot and cold copper piping supply lines. Each NHA building is more than 30 years old and is fully occupied, so the process of replacing existing pipes would most likely displace residents for months. As a cost-effective and less-invasive alternative to pipe replacement, CuraFlo’s epoxy lining can be installed with little or no downtime while residents remain in place.

CuraFlo will begin implementing the epoxy lining process this summer throughout the 7,200 square-foot, two-story facility. The process is expected to be completed within two to three weeks.

“NHA officials appreciated the distinct product and service advantages that CuraFlo provides,” said Skip Wolfe, Vice President of Sales, CuraFlo. “The Engineered Flow Lining System is less disruptive to implement than traditional repiping methods – residents in this first building will not be displaced during installation, and their water service will not be disrupted”.

In 1996, CuraFlo became the first company in North America to provide epoxy pipe lining services in residential multi-tenant and other commercial buildings. In addition to a full array of infrastructure rehabilitation services, the company’s epoxy pipe lining solutions are widely renowned for alleviating problems with deteriorating pipes and plumbing systems. In many instances, this proves a highly effective alternative to pipe replacement. In fact, pipes restored with CuraFlo’s epoxy lining can gain an additional service life of 50 years or more.
