EXTRACO BANK IN TEMPLE, TEXAS CHOOSES CURAFLO® TO SOLVE PIPE PROBLEMS
Proprietary System Proves Faster and Less Costly Than Traditional Repiping Methods
BEACHWOOD, OHIO – CuraFlo®, a leading provider of pipe restoration services for multi-tenant buildings and other commercial and institutional structures, was chosen by the Extraco Bank in Temple, Texas to restore the plumbing system in its headquarters facility by installing CuraFlo’s proprietary Engineered Flow Lining System®.
The Extraco Bank building is a 55-year-old, 85,000 sq. ft. 10-story brick building that houses Extraco’s banking and administrative operations, as well as tenants that include a law firm and dental office. The building, which has mostly galvanized piping, has suffered from typical pipe problems: pitting, pinhole leaks, and low water flow. The low flow issues are due to tuberculation that is typical with galvanized piping systems.
CuraFlo will line the hot and cold water supply piping in each building in order to prevent future leaks and corrosion, minimize disruption to existing tenants and ensure optimal water flow and quality for years to come. CuraFlo was selected based on the company’s established track record with a variety of multi-family, commercial and institutional installations throughout the United States, as well as the quality of our epoxy lining process and ease of installation.
As a cost-effective and less-invasive alternative to pipe replacement, CuraFlo’s epoxy lining can be installed with little or no downtime while the bank and commercial tenants in the building continue to do business. The work, which will take four to five weeks, will begin at the end of February.
In addition to a full array of infrastructure rehabilitation services, CuraFlo’s epoxy pipe lining solutions are widely renowned for alleviating problems with deteriorating pipes and plumbing systems. In many instances, this proves a highly effective alternative to pipe replacement. In fact, pipes restored with CuraFlo’s epoxy lining can gain an additional service life of 50 years or more.
