CURAFLO® BEGINS $2.2 MILLION WATER INFRASTRUCTURE RESTORATION PROJECT AT THE NEW MEXICO MILITARY INSTITUTE
Proprietary System Proves Faster and Less Costly Than Traditional Repiping Methods

BEACHWOOD, OHIO – CuraFlo®, a leading provider of pipe restoration services for multi-tenant buildings and other commercial and institutional structures, has begun a year-long project to restore the potable water infrastructure at the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) in Roswell, New Mexico with two of its proprietary epoxy lining systems. The CuraFlo Engineered Flow Lining System® is being used for small diameter (1/2" to 4") pipes, and the CuraFlo Spincast System™ is being used for large pipes. This project has been divided into three phases –partly to ensure work in residence halls is completed by the end of summer. The first phase, currently underway, consists of restoring 3,000 linear feet of HVAC water lines and the hot and cold water supply lines of the campus’ infirmary barracks. Lining will prevent future corrosion and leaks – ensuring optimal water flow and quality for students, faculty and administration for years to come.

Established in 1891, NMMI is a 750,000 square-foot campus hosting a State- supported, nationally accredited, co-educational college preparatory military boarding high school and junior college. The campus-wide potable water infrastructure consists of mostly galvanized pipe which suffers from low water flow and pressure caused by tuberculation, a mineral scale build-up within the interior of the pipe. Funding for this $2.2 million water infrastructure restoration project is being provided by a State-issued bond.

In addition to a full array of infrastructure rehabilitation services, CuraFlo’s epoxy pipe lining solutions are widely renowned for alleviating problems with deteriorating pipes and plumbing systems. In many instances, this proves a highly effective alternative to pipe replacement. In fact, pipes restored with CuraFlo’s epoxy lining can gain an additional service life of 50 years or more.
