January 31, 2008 – Cleveland, Ohio – CuraFlo®, North America’s leading water pipe renewal company, is currently restoring the water supply lines in a Cleveland Heights historic landmark home. The College Club of Cleveland, a social club for those who share educated interests, is housed in a 1905 century home built predominantly in the Arts and Crafts style.
CuraFlo’s innovative pipe lining solution is restoring the building’s leaking and corroded plumbing system in less time and with less cost and disruption than traditional pipe replacement.
“Our pipes were in very bad shape,” said Bernice Jefferis, President of the College Club. “The increasing frequency of problems throughout the house forced us to consider a system-wide fix. The cost of new plumbing was beyond us. Replacing the system also meant cutting into the antique cherry paneling, art nouveau tile in the bathrooms and two-foot thick plastered walls. I felt like crying.” The plumber who suggested pipe replacement then recommended CuraFlo.
“CuraFlo has proven an affordable and non-invasive solution to a very large heartache and the ten-year warranty gives us confidence in our decision. We’ve lost no income due to the company’s willingness to work with us around our club activities and rental schedule.”
The CuraFlo Engineered Flow Lining System® is a cost-effective alternative to traditional water pipe replacement. The CuraFlo System uses a 3-step process to restore problem pipes. First, hot air is forced through the pipe to dry the interior surface. Then, the pipes are cleaned using a process similar to sandblasting. Finally, air pressure is used to force a special epoxy through the pipes, coating the interior. The result is that the pipes are completely lined with a coating of safe, protective epoxy.
After evaluation of the system and the team, the College Club was impressed with what they saw. Because technicians access pipes through fixtures such as sinks and faucets, building owners avoid the mess, disruption and additional costs of having to cut through walls and floors.
The project would go quickly – about 2 weeks total – and the result would be leak-free pipes, restored water quality, and restored water flow throughout the entire building. And, the price was significantly less than the pipe replacement quote.
“We’re really very pleased with the outcome so far,” continued Jefferis. “The team is efficient and professional and is able to work around our busy schedule of events. Best of all, we will once again have full water service to all of our faucets, and we’ll no longer have those annoying leaks.”
